Main Plot: Fund raising campaign for local college, increasingly worrying donations of angora rabbits overrun college

Earl Harlan has returned from wherever the mute children from the Eternal Scout ceremony took him as a sous-chef at restaurant Tourniquet

Hiram McDaniels and Faceless Old Woman are displeased with results of mayoral election, are screaming their displeasure at a gorge that may or may not be Hidden Gorge

Ep. 51: Rumbling
Main Plot: Carlos calls in for updates on the desert otherworld he's trapped in. There's a rumbling like the one from when the Smiling God of Desert Bluffs was invading. The mountain with a blinking red light on the top stops blinking and just shines while the rumbling happens. The army of masked warriors is afraid. Carlos is not spending a satisfactory amount of time trying to find a way back to Night Vale. The Weather is preceded by the rumbling reaching Night Vale, and during it, Carlos drops his phone and it smashes. The phone heals itself, which is scientifically interesting.

Side Notes:

New mayor Dana Cardinal makes press conference saying the dog park should be opened for the general public. Council members stop her mid-conference for a brief discussion, and when Mayor Cardinal retakes the podium, she rescinds her statement and reaffirms that "Dogs are not allowed in the dog park, people are not allowed in the dog park, etc"

Desert Bluffs put an ad in the paper wishing Night Vale well. It appears to be finger-written and hard to read, and has a picture of you. It's not a bad picture, but when did they get a picture of you sleeping?

Old Woman Josie's friends who are definitely not angels have been doing some reconstruction on the former Strex Corp. building. Night Vale community radio is also back under the control of the old station management.

Doug, a member of the masked army in the desert otherworld, is introduced

Ep. 52: The Retirement of Pamela Winchell
Main Plot: Former mayor Pamela Winchell is calling emergency press conferences to inform Night Vale that she is enjoying retirement. Mayor Cardinal attempts to name Pamela the ??? of Emergency Press Conferences, but she declines and insists she is enjoying retirement, with tears in her eyes. She continues giving emergency press conferences to show what hobbies she has taken up in her retirement that become more and more destructive.

Side Notes:

The beings named Erika have hired contractors to help fill in lane 5 of the bowling alley to trap the tiny underground city beneath it and to perform other renovations. They also hinted that they might like to bowl in the future.
